DESCRIPTION:

This special event happens once a year in celebration of National Trail Days. The 2018 event is June 1-3 and promises to be a grand adventure.

After a comfy Friday night's stay at Mountain View Lodge, wake to a Saturday morning continental breakfast before being transported to High Knob to begin the first leg of your rigorous 19.6 mile hike to Hanging Rock/Little Stony Falls.

Buzzard's Roost staff will pack/unpack and set-up your gear (tent, sleeping bags, etc.)at the campsite while you enjoy the trek along Chief Benges Scout Trail. Your guides are experts and will entertain and inform you about the trail, wildlife, and folklore along the way. Saturday afternoon, you'll arrive at Bark Camp Lake where your campsite is ready and waiting for your arrival. Buzz will have the BBQ stoked and chicken on the grill. Kick back, relax and enjoy a campfire supper and, no doubt, some storytelling before retiring under the stars.

After a Sunday morning camp breakfast, you'll continue your hike to Hanging Rock.  Don't worry about your tent and gear, we'll break it down and pack it up for you. And we'll meet you at your destination ready to transport you back to the Lodge.
