​ROCKS, SOCKS & SPIRITS DAY TRIP 

Guided Channels hike, alpaca farm tour, vineyard & distillery visit
DESCRIPTION:

Start your day with a guided 3-4 hour hike through the Great Channels Natural Area Preserve.  Hike through the network of maze-like sandstone crevices and slot canyons to explore one of the most unique places in all of Virginia - said to be 400-million years old! Bring your camera because you'll want to capture the amazing views of this hidden gem of nature. Then refresh and refuel at Honey Bea's 50s style Ice Cream Parlor and Diner before a fun stop at Fair Acres Alpaca Farm. Learn how the these loveable residents contribute to the making of socks, sweaters and more. Then “Experience the Grapeness” in a relaxing atmosphere with some good old fashioned hospitality you won't forget at Vincent's Vineyard. We'll wrap up your day with a stop at Stone Mountain Distillery where Virginia's first and only legal moonshine is produced!    

 

PRICE INCLUDES:

Price includes transportation to and from all venues, guided Channels hike, lunch at Honey Bea's, Fair Acres Alpaca Farm tour, Vincent's Vineyard tour/tasting and Stone Mountain Distillery visit.

 

DON'T FOEGET:

Where comfortable clothes suitable for hiking. Long sleeve shirts and closed toe hiking shoes are recommended - no flip-flops please. Sunscreen and a water bladder are recommended. If you don't have a water pack, no problem - we can hook you up! Bring snacks like protein bars and be prepared to pack out your own trash.  Remember... take only pictures, leave only footprints!

 

OUR TIPS:

Our drivers and guides are paid through your registration fee and do not expect tips. Do not feel obligated to tip. Of course, should you wish to offer, tips will graciously be accepted.
